Danubius Hotels Group is one of the largest chains operating hotels in Central Europe. The company was founded in 1972 in Budapest. At the beginning of the 21st century the group took over the management of several distinguished spa facilities – Marienbad (Czech Republic) in 2000, Sovata in Romania in 2001, and Health Spa Piešťany, a.s. in 2002. That is how a chain that originated as a hotel operator started concentrating its efforts on spa care.
At the moment, the Danubius Hotels Group operates 56 hotels in Hungary, Great Britain, Czech republic, Slovakia, and Romania.
